POLÍTICA DE CANCELACIÓN
Please note that we can only take a booking through our website if it is made at least two days prior to check in. If there is availability displayed at the last minute, you can email us and we can book you in manually.
Self check-in anytime after 16:00. You get your PIN Code for the door opening one day before your arrival via email. The code is valid until check-out time at 11:00 next day.
Please note that we are not a hotel and this is a non-serviced area.
The Lodge is suitable for a maximum of 2 adults.
There is no breakfast provided in the price. Included in the price is VAT 11%, the tourism tax, free wifi, coffee and tea and basic food supplies (like pasta, rice, sugar, oil…), two towels per person, use of Sauna and hot tub, a fully equipped kitchen and final cleaning of the house and pool.
We do not take any responsibility if the hot tub or Sauna can not be used due to force majeure like heavy storms or volcanic eruptions or very bad weather conditions etc, therefore it is not possible to claim a refund for not being able to use it. The same rule goes for the rooftop windows, in case of heavy snowfall or thin black ice we can’t guarantee a view through the glass ceiling as this is unfortunately completely out of our control. We are trying to remove all the snow while we’re on location if the weather conditions (wind) safely allow it.
In case of a heavy storm in the area (orange or red weather warning on vedur.is) plus the closure of the road 268 and 264 from Selfoss and Hvolsvöllur, we maybe need to cancel a reservation and in this case there will be a full refund. This counts only if the roads to our lodges are closed and no one can access them (meaning they can’t be cleaned), not if there are other road closures in regions outside of south Iceland. We recommend planning ahead, the storms are usually on forecast around 4-5 days ahead of time. It is advised to stay in the surrounding area the night before and after if there is a heavy storm coming up. You may adjust your travel plans and check road conditions beforehand.
Panorama Glass Lodge ehf. is not responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the Lodges. You have the possibility to pick up your lost/forgotten items up to 7 days after your check-out. After that timeframe we collect all items and bring it to the red cross regularly. We do not have space to store it for a longer time. In case you want to have your lost items shipped, you pay for the postal and packaging fees prior to shipping.
If you cause any damage to the property/lodge (like fire on the terrace, damage of interior, broken windows or rollerblinds etc) we will put you into account of this right after your stay. Thank you for treating our property like you would do it with your home.
You can cancel your reservation until 30 days prior to check in free of charge (minus a 25€ (Euro) processing fee that always has to be paid when canceling or changing a booking).
If you cancel from 29 until 20 days in advance, we charge a non-refundable fee of 25% from the total booking price. If you cancel 20 until 10 days in advance we charge a non-refundable fee of 50% from the total booking price. For less than 10 days in advance the 100% booking cost is non-refundable. Also no refund for “no shows” – this counts for flight schedule issues, car breakdowns, sickness, accidents, schedule conflicts or other reasons why you can’t make it to our Lodges on your check in day.
We can provide you with an invoice for your travel insurance.
Non-refundable fees can not be used as a credit for a later booking.
Changing your booking to other dates less than 30 days prior to check-in is not possible without getting charged. Same rules as for cancellation applies in this case (fee of 25-100%). Non-refundable fees can not be used as a credit for a later booking.
Refund will always be paid back exactly the way you paid it. No other transfer to other accounts or credit cards is allowed for security reasons. When you get a refund from us it will take 7-10 business days for processing the transaction.
Please note that there can be currency exchange differences when you get your refund back and you have a card that is not charging in € (Euros). This is dependent on your card provider/bank.
Panorama Glass Lodge ehf. reserves the right to cancel bookings if there are some unforseenable conditions like dangerous storms or closed roads to the Lodge, heavy snow or technical issues etc wo makes it impossible to stay at the Lodge. You will get your full refund in this case.
Special COVID cancellation policy:
Please note: These policies are ONLY in effect if you need to cancel your booking due to a COVID infection and NOT for other reasons. Please show a proof of cancelled flight due to covid or a recent positive test result from an authorised health care center (result not older than 14 days) for your cancellation.
If you need to cancel your booking due to COVID issues (Cancelled flight or a positive test result) we only charge a non-refundable 25% of the total amount for a cancellation up to 3 days (72hrs) before check-in day at 16:00. If you need to cancel less than 3 days before check-in due to COVID reasons, we only charge 50% of the total amount. These fees are non-refundable and can not be used as a credit for a later booking.
You can cancel up to 30 days before check in day free of charge. A 25€ (Euros) processing fee always has to be paid when cancelling a reservation.
Please note if you want to reschedule a booking less than 30 days prior to check in the same rule as for a cancellation is valid (25% or 50% fee of the total amount, not possible to use as a later credit for a booking).
If you get a refund from us it will take 7-10 business days for processing the transaction. Once the transaction has left our payment system, we have no influence anymore over it. It is solely depending on your bank or card provider.
